The Molina's

These two… Caitlin and Adrian came into my life in the fall of 2018 when we took two equipping classes about redemption and salvation at the Austin Stone. It was a special group as we shared some challenging conversations and dove deeper into our pursuit of growing in our Christlikeness. Little did I know then that I would be given the great honor to capture their wedding day about a year later… what a treasure!

From the moment I met the soon-to-be Molina’s, I was immediately put at ease by their kind and gentle nature, which carried all the way through the wedding planning and even the busy day of. Their day was relaxed and full of love and lots of laughter!

I arrived to a room full of girls getting ready together. One thing that stood out to me was how all of Caitlin’s friends were pitching in to help each other get ready for the evening - it was so sweet and you could feel the friendship there. After swapping around some rooms to maximize our time there, the crew loaded up to head to the church. Once there, the guys escaped upstairs while the girls gathered in a room adjacent to the ceremony hall. A wild thing about this room is that it is the exact room in which Caitlin attended VBS as a little girl - talk about some wild emotions for her and her sweet mother!

It was a beautiful ceremony surrounded by both of their families, becoming one. This wonderful couple is surrounded by some special people whose love for them really showed on their big day. With much excitement, we all hopped in our cars and headed to San Marcos for the reception. It was a sunny day on the patio where we enjoyed a mariachi band playing while their guests munched on some chips and salsa - all while adoring over the two beer donkeys who came to play! A delicious BBQ dinner later (shout out to those cheesy and sausage-y mashed potatoes - you changed my life), the party really heated up on the dance floor. This group sure knows how to have some fun and capturing those moments was equally a blast.

A sparkler exit to wrap up that summer evening and we sent the Molina’s on their way. It was a great day brought to you by a great couple whose loved ones really showed up to serve on their special day. These moments make me treasure this work and celebrating alongside my couples!
