The start of a new year always brings about a mix of emotions, from nostalgia of moments past to eager expectancy of times to come. As 2018 comes to a close, I say goodbye to one of the most personally challenging years albeit with a grateful heart. Life threw all the punches last year, but I have never been more proud of who I am as a person after standing back on my feet. In fact, I am in utter awe at how God closes one door and opens up three more, and boy are those doors magnificent. I just need to stay humble and keep the ears of my heart open to the little breadcrumbs He leaves to help me find my way.

This Christmas, I had the pleasure of shooting this beautiful couple at the Dallas Arboretum. Hannah and I overlapped at the same summer camp for a single season, but as kindred spirits who ended up sharing a handful of really special mutual friends, we have always had a great connection. Hannah and her sweet fiancé, Matt, are down to Earth, extremely caring, and so much fun to be around - they’re dog people so duh!

As I continually pursue evolution as an artist, it has become so important to be to capture the truth. Sometimes the truth is messy and blurry and a little nervous, but its beauty is blinding and humbling to witness. I am grateful this duo trusted me to document their truth.

2019 is already lining up to be my most exciting year yet - more details to come soon (*dancing girl emoji*) - and I am so thrilled to share it with more truly inspiring couples.
